Star Wars on the Small Screen

Two new Start Wars shows are in the works. On is a kids cartoon. The other a live action tv series.

The live action series sounds promising. George Lucas has been quoted as saying it won't be anything like Star Trek.
But what does he mean by that? And not like which Star Trek? Each one was very different. So does he mean it won't be Character oriented and won't have near movie quality FX and action? I fail to see his point.

Regardless, I look forward to it. But NOT the cartoon.

i dont think that this a good step for george lucas to take
i think that the expanded universe should stay in the pages of books for the avid fan to read, oh well to each his own, remember these are the words of a starwars fan. by the way revenge of the sith was a good movie, plenty of death and carnage and cheap humor we come to expect

I heard some whacked out news about the new Star wars live action series. Lucas said it will probably be low budget, around 1 mill and episode (Star Trek Enterprise was about 4 million an ep, SG-1 and SG Atlantis are about 2 mill or more). He is also saying that it will be recorded with digital video cameras anyone could buy at a department store.

Lucas is insane. Too much Aspartame for him!

The Star Wars cartoon is in production!! It is a CG animated cartoon. It is expected out in 2007. It sounds cool! It is called Clone Wars from what my source tells me. Although I find that it will likely change.
